technologies

I am trying to come up with a list of technologies that are likely to become widespread 10-20 years from now and essentially replace whatever we use now. The ultimate goal is to invest a certain amount of money into corresponding companies and forget for a decade or so.

So far, I got geothermal and tidal/wave power, genetically engineered crops, therapeutic stem cells and RNA interference, smart traffic controls, biodegradation, wireless electric grids. What else?..

When I say technology, I mean things like: Smartphones (able to navigate you to an open parking spot or let you know where traffic is), autonomous vehicles (the driverless cars which particiapted in a 102 mile race completely driven off of its own decisions), and any other piece of technology that may relate to the previous examples.
