Although it seems clique, I juzxt adore the Harry Potter books… I’ve read them countless times… if you haven’t already read them; you are truely missing out. All of the media attention they recieve is for good reason- those books are amazing… Don’t pass by a chance to read them. (make sure you read all of them in chronological order though… you’ll miss out on key points and the enjoyment of the books if you don’t). And contrary to belief, the books are NOT evil or satanist. I am a very strong Christian and they are my favorite books of all time…

How about these – Alive by Piers Paul Read…a story of a plane crash in the Andes – made into a movie but the book is terrific.

Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley…King Arthur tales from a womans point of view. This was the best one of the series.

My two boys loved two series when they were younger – you might also: The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper and the Redwall series by Brian Jacques

Also – a true story that remains one of my all time favorites called “Mister God this is Anna” by Fynn. An English girl (5 yrs old) named Anna and the man that rescues her named only Fynn. written many years ago. FABULOUS!!

Gossip Girls are very popular for your agegroup, as are the Artemis Foul series. By seeing what you are currently reading, I would suggest trying Lurlene McDaniel. She writes more heart-touching stories. Keep in mind, some of her books are part of a series, so you’ll want to check that before making your selection.

Sarah Dessen Books are good I Just Read “someone like you” and loved it and i’m working on getting more of her books

@cookiesrgood4thesoul Technology is as much a part of us as our dna, it is how we evolve which is why we will inevitably be depending on it just like we are depenting on having a liver. Why is it an art to write down a number, why is it a problem to have instant access to a number without having to remember it? Technology changes and we change with it, the fact that we are relying on it is not something to be scared of it is just our nature, accept it and go with the times.

One of the basis in art is the design.
Open a high end magazine, generally they carry very good ads.
select any ad that you like.

Substitute the objects in the ad for other ones you can have on hand in the same place.

Avoid symmetry and pairs.
Try to use diagonals because they inject movement to the design.

get a color wheel and look for harmonizing hues.

overlap the objects

Play with text in different fonts , sizes and direction.

@theneedledrop I think ideally we need to stop thinking of albums as sequels and more of new starts. It was clear civilization was a transition song it had elements of cross but it certainly lived up to more rock than real electro. Avd was a good single to fore warn of the new almost lighter style. At the end of it cross was good but had a white album conflict where at times it felt more as if it were a collection of cool songs rather than an album (I.e stress into waters of Nazareth).

@theneedledrop the sound was amazing don’t get me wrong but it was played out whenduring justice was not producing. Every kid who had ableton at one pointed needed to make a “leaked” justice track and it showed the cross sound was/is dead and became a staple. Going back to that would be boring. Expanding on the same idea is safe and I feel now a days too many artist of our time do that. Be it intentional or from lack of inspiration of another genre. Avd shows justice is willing to try and evolve

Liking electronic is VERY rare for me and I hate almost all rap (the exceptions are for meaningful lyrics are some real instrumentation) Also can’t stand metal or country. because recording artist have to pay the money back for videos, travel, attorneys and all other accomodations, they only get like 9 cent per album sold. Actors just get a straight up check no matter if the movie sells well or not. Thats why so many artists venture off into other things like clothing lines, movies, perfume things like that. People like R. Kelly are an exception because he writes and produces his own music, and writes music for other artists as well

good question! =] they have alot more to memorize and special effect stunt stuff.. they’re schedules are just alot busier.. musicians do have concerts and what not but even then.. and depending on how well known, what they’re giving out.. they can make just as much… if not more.

Anthony sings the same tone in almost every chorus, Klingoffer is desperately seeking the live sound/guitar riffs frusciante made but just can’t make it, Chad is being solid (as usual) and Flea’s piano skills are about as impressive as any radio gaga girl playing keys now a days, the songs are chorus filled and to the point of the almost bland cliche Chili Peppers. Listen to I’m With You in 15 seconds and it becomes very evident.

@SeverEnergia I’m still learning a lot about framed housing but would a SIP panel not be to thick to clad onto a timber frame? As I understand a SIP panel would replace a framed skeleton, as it’s got it’s own internal skeleton and is already cladded. I live in South Africa and framed housing is still a very new idea to us, so I’m open to learn new things – it might sound like a simple thing to you but I might never have heard of it, so I’d love to learn more!

I think people are asking about the simple roof framing, wondering if it is strong enough. The roof is on a 12″ and 12″ pitch, (the steeper, the better, for the strength) and it looks like he has about 24″ of height on the plywood gussets conntecting the rafters together at the peak. The rafters are only about 8 feet long, VERY STRONG at this legnth. The only possible problem that could develop is the “leaning out” of the short walls that the rafters are sitting on. THIS ROOF IS STRONG ! ! !

as for the short walls leaning out, this is possible only if the walls spread out where the rafters sit on them. This can happen only if the gussets on the peak of the rafters does not hold. This is pretty improbable. The gussets are probably 3/8″ or 1/2 plywood, and they should be glues and, either stapled with 2″ long staples, or screwed with 2″ screws. Staples are my choice, with “Liquid Nails” in the caulking tubes for glue. Now, you don’t want to put slate tile on this roof, but,

Not slate, but shingles or metal would be perfectly safe on this roof. I like this design, It is spacious, more so than an A-Frame, since it has the 4″ walls on the second floor. Nice design!

@QuartuvLarry I’m not a leftie. And from the sounds of things, you’re sources are in no place to make any kind of judgement call. Those aren’t high places where anybody would know anymore than the common citizen. And things have to happen first, before they are stated as fact. Other than that, I’ve never seen a President this hated right out of the gate before he even had a chance to say anything. At the point when all you knew about him was he was black.

@bigstabby Pretty narrow-minded of you to say, when we knew quite a bit more about him other than his race. Damning stuff, actually. Hanging out with terrorists, attending a hateful race-based cult for 20 years, making no bones about Marxism. And NOW, he’s showing his complete and utter ineptitude, which was evidenced from his years as a junior senator.
And one of my sources IS David Walker, former US comptroller general, so that kind of gives his economic discernment considerable credibility.

AMERICA WAKE UP. . . Obama has what is being called a “Plan B” for shoving amnesty for illegal immigrants down our throats, and it may be his most horrifying abuse of power yet.

Rather than bothering with the inconvenience of actually following the Constitution, Obama is considering using his Executive powers to grant “parole” to illegal immigrants, thereby clearing the way for amnesty without even involving Congress.

Last year this time I was put in a ‘group home’ here in Wyo for not having a home. My mom was looking for employment because disablility wouldnt take her when she needed it. Even more DFS made it so I could only talk to my mom once a week, the only parent I have, for NO reason. The ‘system’ ruined my 15th year of life. I spent thanksgiving, Christmas, my moms birthday, my birthday away from home because she was disabled and couldnt find work to fit her health I tell everyone I can about this
