Call your provider's tech support. Your line (or your modem) has a problem - his doesn't.

When the lights are blinking, it means it's transfering data (I have a westell). When it turns red it means they's a connection problem, but red has only shown up when I turn it on, not in the middle of when it's on.

If red keeps popping up, turn it off and unplug everything for 5 min, then reconnect it and turn it back on. This solved my red lights before.

Are you using same phone line?
Are you using same DSL login and password?

If you answer yes to any questions, USE A ROUTER AND SHARE THE CONNECTION.
If you answer no to the questions, call your phone company to replace your telephone wires.
And if they don't, switch to cable like I did. Works like charm
