New technologies
Wyrmfell asked:

First of all, I just want an answer to the question. No trolling or saying “this candidate will END lobbies once and for all”. I need to find examples of corporate lobbyists suppressing new and potentially beneficial technologies for a school project. Thanks for your help.

Social media applications
PC asked:

Since twitter is a social media application designed to give people a venue to express themselves, would blocking access constitute a violation of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution?

I assume this would also apply to other social media sites such as facebook and myspace.

The context I’m specificly interested in is employers blocking access to social media sites.

Please cite any precedence if possible.
I’m not interested in the practical explanations of why social media is blocked in the workplace. I want to know the legality. Only a couple of answers have even touched on that subject.

I’m looking for a legal explanation, not a list of practical reason why social media is blocked.
